The Radiology and Medical Imaging Department provides diagnostic imaging services (IRM, CT scan). Many of our services are provided for the existing departments of the IMOGEN Research Center (obstetrics and gynecology, neurology, dental medicine, pathology, molecular genetics) and for the Cluj-Napoca County Emergency Clinical Hospital with all its departments.
The Radiology Department is equipped with state-of-the-art medical imaging systems which are able to perform almost all the examinations solicited by the medical staff in Cluj county and the neighbouring counties. The department is equipped with a General Electric 750 w Discovery Magnetic Resonance Imaging machine with a magnetic field strength of 3 Tesla.
This machine uses rigid or flexible antennas, specific for each anatomical region/part: head, neck, cervical spine, dorsal and lumbar column, abdomen, and upper legs antennas are available.
The CT Scan Department is equipped with a General Electric Optima CT660 Computer Tomography scanner with 128 slices.
There are also a number of DICOM system image postprocessing stations and a PACS system for integrating these imaging structures.
The staff of the Radiology and Medical Imaging Department consists of medical doctors specialized in radiology, physicists and technicians specialised in Medical Physics and Medical Imaging.
Regarding education and training in the field of radiology we collaborate with the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Iuliu Hatieganu” and “Babes-Bolyai” University from Cluj-Napoca.
The department is open for interdisciplinary collaboration on scientific research and Imogen Center’s exceptional equipment is optimal for this.
